Aran Hall provides high quality residential care and education for children and young people aged 11 to 19 with a severe learning disability or associated disorder and challenging behaviours. The School provides long term care on a 52 week basis or short term care for assessment, respite or holiday periods.

The main aim of all activities at Aran Hall School is to strengthen individual pupil's feelings of self worth through the experience of successful outcomes.

Each task is structured to maximise potential. Personal endeavour is visibly rewarded is ways which strengthen feelings of self worth.

Within these aims individual programmes have two prime objectives:

  • The extension of communication skills
  • An increase in socially acceptable behaviour

Feelings of isolation and possible frustration are reduced and a sense of worth and identity increased through this twin track approach.

Aran Hall works for our pupils. Twenty years experience, during which all pupils have progressed and none has ever needed to be excluded, are testimony to our success.
